What Is Full Hard Steel?

Full Hard Steel

Full-hard steel is a type of steel that had been cold worked to achieve maximum hardness and strength. This process results in a material that is highly rigid, brittle, and durable with limited flexibility compared to half-hard or quarter-hard. Full-hard is commonly used in applications that require high tensile strength and resistance to wear, such as the production of springs, blades, and high-strength fasteners. While it does offer exceptional strength, full-hard can be more challenging to form and process than its other counterparts, so it must be used for the correct applications.
