TENSION LEVELING OF STEEL

At Worthington Steel, our tension leveling process stretches sheet steel in coil form by pulling it beyond its yield point, top-to-bottom and edge-to-edge. Following this procedure, the material should be perfectly flat and relatively free of internal stresses.

Tension leveling is desirable in scenarios in which flatness and shape are an integral component in the end use of the material.
