HOT-DIPPED GALVANIZED STEEL
Hot-dipped galvanizing is the process of applying a thin layer of zinc directly on hot rolled or cold rolled steel coil by passing it through a molten bath of zinc. Galvanizing steel forms a metallurgical bond between the zinc and the underlying steel sheet, creating a barrier that becomes part of the steel itself.
Hot-dipped galvanized steel has enhanced corrosion resistance and offers a low-cost application because of the maintenance free service that it provides. Galvanized steel is used mainly where rust resistance is required.
