STEEL EDGING

Edging is a process where the raw or slit edges of strip metal are passed or drawn, one or more times, against a series of files, carbide tool bits or cutting heads. At Worthington Steel, we have the ability to apply multiple types of edges to steel strips by rolling, filing or drawing.

Standard edges* that we can apply are:

Beveled
Rounded
Square
Smooth
Groove
Mill
Slit
De-burred

*Typical thickness ranges from .012 to .125 in gauge.
